This is the latest piece I worked on. in order to create the certain depth that I wanted I painted on an old storm window. This piece was painted from both the front and also the back. In the front in order to create the illusion of waves rushing from the image it was created by using corrugated cardboard. splitting it down the middle and then painting it in acrylic paint and then sealing it with a gloss medium. The window was also painted in acrylic. The interesting thing for this type of work is how that a light shines through it. it causes the paint to glow to an extreme measure. This effect is similar to stained glass. The difference is of course the cloudiness from using paints.

This painting was created on an old cabinet door. mediums used for this were acrylic paint acrylic glazes, metallic paints and oil pastels. The pastels were laid first in order to cause a flat matt to create shadow. From here the natural earth tones were laid out in acrylic. Once this was done metallic acrylics were place over the water and on a few key locations about the rocks. to finish it a clear coat acrylic glaze was used to create depth and shine on the water.

This is one of my favorite pieces. This is a piece that I've worked on for three years now. when I'd first received the canvas there was already an image of a tree painted on it. It looked as if it had been done a while back and then just left to sit in an attic or a garage. I couldn't decide if I should just strip the canvas or just paint over it. Then it hit me..... finish the painting! I began laying layer after layer of paint to this previously own canvas. I used many techniques from just classical painting with a brush to using a knife down to spray paint. This has been one of those pieces that I am not sure if i ever will feel as if it is completed. When I look at it I can see it changing with the seasons.
Wood panel images of some holy sort..... These two pieces were created from an old cabinet door which I found one day last summer roaming around the neighborhood. When I brought it home i split it apart into two pieces. Then an image was carved into to wood by using a screwdriver. The images were then painted in water color and then gone over in oil pastel. from here I began using a household spray bottle which i then diluted acrylic paint in and began spraying it and manipulating it by moving around the panels. From there they were finished with some heavy brush strokes in order to show texture to the pieces.
Beginning to let the work flow....... This is a page that I am beginning to set up to feature some of my works and to describe the methods I have taken to achieve certain techniques. For example this is a print i created by first of course drawing the image. From there I photographed it and began to over pixelate it along with altering colors to achieve the cubed pattern in the background.
